Getting my baby fix

I guess my life was just not busy enough.
Yesterday I started doing childcare (1 day a week) at a local church. I attended a womens bible study at this church about 2 years ago. About a month or so ago I got a call from a woman who attended there also. She asked me if I would consider steping in to the pre school classroom as a teacher. I gave it some thought and prayed about it and about a week later wrote her back. I told her that my heart was not calling me help in the pre school room but I did feel a tugging to work with infants. She wrote me back sharing that just the day before the woman who had been covering the infant room stepped down and there was an opening. She had been praying about finding the right person to cover this hole and I came along the next day. I was an answer to prayer. Praise God!
We had 5 infants yesterday. The youngest was just 8 weeks old and the oldest was 14 months. It felt so wonderful to me on the floor playing with babies. They are such a joy to be with. I can't wait to go back again and spend some time with them.

Never was but also no longer a SAHM

I have never liked the term SAHM. It makes me think of a Mother that never gets out of the house. That was not us and still is not.

I was a so called SAHM for 8 years. After getting pregnant with my twins in 1998 I was ordered to stop working at about 7 months along. For the next 8 years I was a "SAHM" that was not at home very much. How could you be home all the time with 5 children.

Well, now that all my children are in school. The triplets started kindergarten last year. I am working full time. I have been a WOOHM (just made that up. It stands for Working out of home Mom). I found a job that I can work at over nights while my husband and children sleep. I sleep while they are at work and school. This way if one of my children gets sick I will be here (at home) for them and not have to miss any work. It is working out well for us.
